Coaching for ADHD

The Edge Foundation, is a Seattle-based non-profit organization that offers coaching and supplemental treatment for students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In 2010, the Edge Foundation released the results of a two-year study demonstrating the effectiveness of ADHD coaching. The coaching technique has long been used by corporations to improve the performance of CEOs and executives, but until the Edge Foundation study, little research had been done on the impact coaching could have on populations with learning disabilities like ADHD.

Team Soapbox was hired to help the Edge Foundation get the word out about the results of the study and the benefits of personal coaching.

Team Soapbox developed a national media campaign strategy to announce the study and position foundation leaders as recognized experts in the field. Team Soapbox conducted tailored outreach to specific audiences interested in ADHD and coaching such as college students, health reporters, and parents.

  • Team Soapbox placed multiple articles on the Edge Foundation’s study in national and regional outlets including Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s blog on

  • After the blog placement, inquiries about the study and about The Edge Foundation poured in from across the country.
