Team Soapbox was hired by the Seattle Office of Emergency Management in June 2015 to launch their new, real-time emergency alert and notification system.
Given just two short months, Soapbox teamed up with long-time partner Bullseye Creative to develop the brand, logo, tagline, messaging, earned media, outreach events, and multiple pieces of collateral and advertising materials. With a steadfast deadline, and official City approval required for all deliverables, we worked around-the-clock to develop a brand, messages, and assets to educate the public on AlertSeattle and encourage individuals to enroll.
- Developed collateral, including: rack cards, business cards, flyer, posters, web buttons, banner, radio ad, t-shirts, and large-scale print ads
- Wrote and produced a 30-second video advertisement
- Produced one-page pictogram and translated it into 14 different languages with the highest representation in the Seattle area
The AlertSeattle campaign successfully launched on National Night Out, August 4. Upon its launch, AlertSeattle was covered on all of Seattle’s major radio, print and television outlets as well as local community blogs, Seattle fire and police officials attended various block party events to inform residents of AlertSeattle, and a broad print, web, television and radio advertising campaign began. In the first three-weeks of the campaign, the opt-in count had reached more than ten thousand – far exceeding their goal.
