Accessing Support for Living with MS
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s mission is to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). The Greater Northwest Chapter helps everyone affected by the disease live richer, healthier, more independent lives.
Team Soapbox was hired to help the National MS Society, Greater Northwest Chapter communicate effectively with the 12,000 people regionally living with MS, and the more than 72,000 others including family, friends, caregivers in Alaska, Montana, and Central and Western Washington.
We tapped into the personal stories of those living with MS and disseminated them through outlets such as newspapers, talk show appearances and TV news features. We also helped to clarify and streamline language in the Chapter’s materials.
We secured more than 80 placements in local media markets in three states to attract participants for their two largest fundraising events, Walk MS and Bike MS, and helped educate people about the disease, created awareness for programs and services, and inspired people to get involved in the movement to create a world free of MS.
